Do you remember my design from Pals Paper Arts Challenge 119? After I shared the card design, I got a lot of comments that it would look great on a wall too. Sooooo, that’s what I did! My Digital Studio makes it real easy to change the size of a design, so I took this from the original 5×5 to an 8×8 in no time.
Next, I printed it out on a color laser printer, then added pearls, brads and rhinestones in a few places. The mat came with the frame – I specifically looked for a white mat so I could stamp it as well. I used the trees from Scenic Season (115354), and the Parlor Prints (122525) background stamp, then I distressed the mat using the Distressing Kit’s (118762) Tea Stain stampin’ spot and flat rubber stamp. Then I spritzed the whole mat with the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint (116806) that I have mixed in a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol.
Talk about an easy way to add a custom decoration to your wall in a flash! Actually, this won’t be going on my wall, but to Tammy H. She visited my craft booth at a recent holiday craft fair. Congratulations Tammy!
